Tivi was founded in 1987 in Kuujuaq by David Forrest. Tivi grew throughout the decades and is now majority owned by David’s three Inuit daughters.
Dave is the proud father of 4 (1 deceased) and 8 Grandchildren. His involvement in the community includes: Volunteer Fire Fighter, Chair of Isuarsivik Recovery Centre, President of Kuujjuaq Youth Camp, Board Member of the Nunavik Tourism Association etc. His passion is the land.
Apu is the oldest of the three and has three children. She’s a seamstress for her families’ traditional clothing, she studied Fashion Design. Presently, she is employed by the Kativik Regional Government as Manager of Accounts Payable.
Sarassie is a mother of 2. Presently, she manages our Boutique at the airport. She loves going out on the land and camping with her family.
Dawn started working at the gallery since she was 13. Dawn is the mother of 3 children. She studied in Visual Arts in College. She now owns her own label, Inuuvunga clothing and accessories and is employed full time at Tivi Galleries.
